The San Diego Museum of Man is just one of the great museums at Balboa Park commonly misinterpreted as just a fieldtrip destination. I went as a kid and was half bored half excited to be out of school. But I recently went back and was shocked how interesting the museum actually is. Wear your walking shoes and be prepared for a long indoor adventure.
